So I just watched Sarah Palin's speech from the other night. Sadly she didn't hit on the themes I mentioned earlier, but she did hit on some themes I found interesting.
1) "The troops have brought victory within sight" It would seem you need something as powerful as the Huble Telescope to be able to see it, but I suppose that is within sight.
2) "Special needs family's needing America to be more welcoming to their sons and daughters have an addvicate in Washington will have one." Here's my question, what if you need America to be more accepting of your gay son or daughter? Will she still be there for them? My gut says no.
3) She also implied that it's not ok to praise the working class for their what they bring to the table while still wanting to increase gun control. (She also made some point on religion that just didn't make sense) I guess what I want to know, is it not ok to disagree with people you respect?
4)She want's to drill the SPR. She's nuts. (yes this is dismissive and unkind, but it's also true)
5) She implied that wanting to heal the planet is a bad thing. Yeah...the EPA is gonna LOVE her.
6) She implied that it's a bad thing that Obama wants to respect the rights of people captured during the war on terror. How exactly is this a bad thing? Note: McCain isn't even against this.
Just my idle thoughts.
